How we check it
- Every value on this site comes from the official source listed on the page and links back to it.
- A listing is published only if it has at least 3 of these attributes populated from the source: Authority status, Recent change, Authority age, Broker bond ($75,000), Bond type, Surety or trust provider, Suspensions and revocations on record, Also a motor carrier.
- Each record shows the date we last verified it against the source. Records that disappear from the source are removed at the next refresh.
- No text on listing pages is written by hand or generated without data: summaries restate the source fields.
Data last verified: Oct 20, 2026.
Terms you will see
- MC docket
- The operating authority number FMCSA issues to interstate for-hire carriers, brokers and freight forwarders.
- Broker authority
- Permission to arrange truck transportation of other people's freight for pay. A broker needs active authority, a $75,000 bond or trust fund, and a process agent (BOC-3) on file.
- BMC-84 / BMC-85
- The $75,000 broker surety bond (BMC-84) or trust fund (BMC-85) filed with FMCSA. If it is cancelled, FMCSA suspends the authority.
- Motus
- FMCSA's registration system since 2026. Brokers that have had no registration action since the switch still show their status from the legacy L&I file; each profile names its source.
- Suspension vs revocation
- A suspension (for example, bond cancelled) can be lifted once the filing is restored; a revocation ends the authority.
